Prince Maurice This is an exclusive, smart and wholly upmarket choice with Relais and Chateaux status, providing fine accommodation close to the resort town of Belle Mare in Mauritius. Guest suites are spread through lovely tropical gardens on a spit of land between a fishing lagoon and the sea, and the central living area is focused around an impressive infinity pool overlooking a fine stretch of beach and sea.
The 76 junior sutes are clustered into groups of 8 each thatched; either facing the beach on the ground or stilted overlooking a fishing lagoon. The junior suites have one bedroom with a sitting area indoors and a terrace or balcony. Junior Suites are available with connecting corridors. There are 12 senior suites, each detached thatched villas, nine with private heated swimming pool located on the beach and three on stilts overlooking a natural fish reserve. One enormous 'Princely Suite', more of a private villa than typical hotel accommodation; This suite has two junior suites and one senior suite, a private patio garden, mini kitchen for staff use, terrace/dining area and two swimming pools. Located directly on the beach in a secluded part of the hotel grounds that offer utmost privacy, the Princely Suite also has three terraces each facing a different part of the lagoon.

The three restaurants and very large, grand and impressive, ranging from the main L' Archipel restaurant in the main building, which overlooks the pool and the beach, to Le Barachois seafood restaurant constructed on a boardwalk through the mangrove trees, to the small beach restaurant on a deck near the beach. Golf is available at the highly acclaimed Belle Mare Plage 'Legend' course nearby. The Guerlain spa is a serious beauty treatment centre, with all mod-cons required for ultimate facials, manicures and all restorative treatments. Free facilities include use of the heated pool, squash court, gym, sauna, plunge pool, steam bath and aquagym. Aeorbics, yoga, massages, beauty treatments are all payable separately. The children's club, aptly named 'Les Petits Princes' provides a royal service for tots from 4 to 12 years old, organising daily activities indoors and out from 9am to 9pm.
