Mauritius; Expert guide to Mauritius; Hotels on the East Coast
The glorious East Coast beaches have attracted some of the best hotels to the north east corner, where long stretches of powder soft sand extend to cool pine groves and woodlands. The main hotels here are fine, stylish and make the most of their situation, claiming long expanses of this stunning coastline as their own. Even so this area is still less developed and more isolated than the rest of the island, and the flat eastern landscape is ideal for the sugar cane plantations that extend for mile upon mile. Ile aux Cerfs is a lovely small island just south of Belle Mare, where you can swim and snorkel from the shore. There are shops and restaurants and a couple of local enterprises for natural, island refreshments - such as coconut juice and pineapples. It is managed by Le Touessrok, but is also open to the public. Please phone us to discuss with one of our consultants; Even better please come in in person. Tel +44 (0) 20 7471 8780 or Email Us
